Maypearl owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They put the hurt on the Decatur Eagles with a sharp 6-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted since April 16, 2024.

The victory got Maypearl back to even at 2-2. As for Decatur, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
