Football Recap: New Lexington Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Lexington can now relate to. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Indian Valley Braves on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 47 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grady Kinsey produced another solid effort rushing for 198 yards and three scores while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards for Indian Valley. Kinsey's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 109 rushing yards dating back to last season.

New Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Indian Valley, their record now sits at 12-0.

New Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Valley, they will face off against Glenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tarblooders' defense has only allowed 9.5 points per game this season, so the Braves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
