Softball Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Wellington Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, Lyons rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Wellington Eagles by a score of 10-6. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly four runs.

Lyons didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 12 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wellington only tossed seven.
The victory (which was Lyons' seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-8. As for Wellington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.
Lyons is on the road again on Friday to play Eaton at 2:30 p.m. Eaton will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Lyons surely won't give up without a fight. Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
