Softball Recap: Sullivan County Griffins vs. Muncy Indians
Sullivan County's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Muncy Indians 5-4. The game was the first time the Griffins have beaten the Indians on their field since May 7, 2018.

Emilia Viveiros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on two hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Kayla Fowler was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Mariah Hallabuk, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base.
Sullivan County's record now sits at 5-3. As for Muncy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sullivan County is set to take on their familiar foe Sugar Valley Rural at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Muncy will square off against rival Northwest Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
