Soccer Recap: Cardinal Newman Takes a Loss

Cardinal Newman lost against Dreher back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cardinal Newman fell 2-0 to Dreher.

Cardinal Newman's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dreher, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardinal Newman will challenge Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dreher, they will square off against South Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dreher's defense better be ready for this one: South Pointe has averaged an impressive 5.5 goals per game this season.
