Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Falls Short of Waterbury Career Academy in the Playoffs

Brookfield and Waterbury Career Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Brookfield had to settle for second. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. The Bobcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Brookfield now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Waterbury Career Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Brookfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waterbury Career Academy, they will face off against Naugatuck at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
