Recap: Victory Christian Lions vs. Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors
The Victory Christian Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Alabama School for the Deaf on Tuesday as Victory Christian made off with a 62-38 win. The score was close at the half, but Victory Christian pulled away in the second half with 37 points.
It was another big night for Haley Hendrix, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 22 rebounds. The contest was her 20th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Haney, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Victory Christian and bumps their season record up to 14-6. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Victory Christian will be playing at home against Holy Family Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Family Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to face off against Gaylesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gaylesville is on a four-game streak of home losses, Alabama School for the Deaf a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
