Preview: Rosamond Roadrunners vs. Mammoth Huskies
Rosamond is 6-0 against Mammoth since May of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rosamond Roadrunners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mammoth Huskies at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Rosamond's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
Rosamond scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Desert 87-53 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rosamond has posted yet this season.
Rosamond got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Pacheco out in front who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Fabian Robles, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Mammoth earned a 61-53 win over Desert on Friday.
Mammoth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Jones, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiam Trabulsi, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Rosamond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Mammoth, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Rosamond took their victory against Mammoth in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 77-57. Does Rosamond have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mammoth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
