Softball Recap: Watertown Cyclones vs. General Brown Lions
Watertown extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the General Brown Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-0 last Wednesday.

For General Brown's part, Raegan Burgenstock made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Burgenstock has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Raegan Sharp was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Haley Parker was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Coming up, Watertown will square off against Sandy Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for General Brown, they will challenge Indian River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
