Basketball Recap: San Tan Foothills Takes a Loss

San Tan Foothills lost against Northwest Christian back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The San Tan Foothills Sabercats took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Christian Crusaders. The Sabercats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, San Tan Foothills still got an impressive performance from Cienna Witcher, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Witcher a new career-high.

Northwest Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Seifried, who went 9 of 13 en route to 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Juliana Larson was another key player, putting up eight points along with 16 rebounds and four steals.

San Tan Foothills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Northwest Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

San Tan Foothills will be playing in front of their home fans against Benjamin Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwest Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on ALA - Ironwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
