Volleyball Recap: 13 Straight Home Wins for Milford

Milford had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Lakota West Firebirds 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Milford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Ward, who had 18 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Ward has posted over his last eight matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Morgan, who had six digs and two aces.

Milford couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 54.8% of their attack attempts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hitting percentage total in four consecutive contests.

Milford pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lakota West, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, Milford will challenge Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakota West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
