Soccer Game Preview: Jamestown vs. Fargo South

The Jamestown Bluejays will square off against the Fargo South Bruins on Thursday. Jamestown's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jamestown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Minot, who was ranked ninth at the time (Jamestown was ranked 13th). The Bluejays' defense stepped up to hand the Magicians a 1-0 shutout on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Fargo South entered their match against Shanley on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bruins fell 2-0 to the Deacons. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Fargo South haven't been shut out since back in August.

Jamestown's victory bumped their record up to 5-8-2. As for Fargo South, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-2.

Jamestown came out on top in a nail-biter against Fargo South when the teams last played back in August of 2017, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
