The Cascade Cougars were able to grind out a solid victory over the Pleasant Hill Billies on Wednesday, taking the game 5-1.

Slade Hudson was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Cascade's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Hudson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
