While Kingsburg's win against Reedley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Pirates 4-3. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kingsburg's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Scarlett Laita, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Laita has posted since back in April of 2024.

Kingsburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Reedley, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Kingsburg will head out to square off against Immanuel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Reedley, they will welcome Selma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
