Basketball Recap: Decatur Beats Washington for Their Seventh Straight Win

Decatur extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Davin Chandler. The Decatur Seahawks put the hurt on the Washington Jaguars with a sharp 90-64 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Chandler, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Elijah Thomas, who posted 29 points. Thomas has been hot, having posted 21 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Emaree Corbin, who had 12 points.

Decatur pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.7 points. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
