Reagan County is on a 14-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Forsan is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Owls will host the Buffaloes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Reagan County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wink as they made off with a 19-0 win. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Brooklynn Reyes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Reagan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Forsan made easy work of Van Horn on Friday and carried off a 21-0 win.
Like Reagan County, Forsan also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddie Roach. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Roach was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Scout Stockton was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emily Austin, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Forsan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Reagan County, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Reagan County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .663. However, it's not like Forsan struggles in that department as they've averaged .490. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Reagan County might still be hurting after the 21-5 loss they got from Forsan in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
