Volleyball Recap: Woodward Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Woodward Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Arabia Mountain Rams. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the War Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Woodward Academy took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Marissa Jones and Sydney Harrison, who picked up five kills apiece. Jones really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Laila Davis, racking up four apiece.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Arabia Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Woodward Academy will face off against McIntosh at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arabia Mountain, they will challenge Fayette County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
