Baseball Recap: Magoffin County Takes a Loss

Magoffin County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Paintsville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Magoffin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Carty, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Magoffin County's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Paintsville, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

While Magoffin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
