Basketball Recap: North Dorchester Takes a Loss

The matchup between North Dorchester and Colonel Richardson on Tuesday hardly resembled the 37-15 effort from their previous meeting. The North Dorchester Eagles came up short against the Colonel Richardson Colonels, falling 67-41. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Colonels recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the defeat, North Dorchester saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Remdy Wongus dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Wongus is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Simir Holland, who went 5-for-11 en route to 11 points.

North Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Colonel Richardson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

North Dorchester wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-30 win against St. Michaels on the 19th. As for Colonel Richardson, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-34 defeat against North Caroline on the 20th.
