Softball Recap: Holcomb Takes a Loss

Holcomb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Kennett Indians. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Holcomb saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Gurley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Holcomb's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kennett, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holcomb will host Gideon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennett, they will welcome Malden at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
