Volleyball Recap: Winslow Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Winslow lost against St. Johns back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Redskins.

Winslow started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-18.

Tamia Haskie paced Winslow's offense, picking up 13 kills. Haskie got some help from Keira Barton and her 31 assists.

St. Johns was led to victory by Susie Andrus and Abby Wagoner. Andrus had six digs and three aces, while Wagoner had 21 digs and two assists. Those 21 digs gave Wagoner a new career-high.

Winslow's defeat dropped their record down to 19-16-1. As for St. Johns, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Looking ahead, Winslow will venture away from home to challenge Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Johns, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Alchesay on the 20th.
