Wingate had lost ten straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-17 to make it 11. They lost 22-5 to the Northwest Falcons. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
As for Northwest, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10. Considering they have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
For Northwest's part, they got a massive performance out of Keydonn Begaye, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Begaye is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 8-10 when he doesn't).
