Football Game Preview: Marshfield Tigers vs. Oshkosh North Spartans

The Marshfield Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Oshkosh North Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Marshfield took a 22-point loss the last time they faced off against Stevens Point, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 32-30.

Meanwhile, Oshkosh North suffered their biggest defeat since September 12, 2024 on Friday. They lost 34-14 to Notre Dame Academy. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Spartans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Marshfield now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Oshkosh North, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Marshfield beat Oshkosh North 20-7 in their previous meeting back in August of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
