Softball Game Preview: Saunders Trades & Tech Blue Devils vs. Yonkers Bulldogs

The Saunders Trades & Tech Blue Devils will head out to take on the Yonkers Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yonkers took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Saunders Trades & Tech, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Saunders Trades & Tech made easy work of Gorton and carried off a 19-4 victory. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Yonkers was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Nanuet, falling 14-1. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Golden Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Yonkers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yaeli Santana, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Saunders Trades & Tech now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Yonkers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Saunders Trades & Tech took their victory against Yonkers when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
