Softball Recap: Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Catholic Central lost against Dominican back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Knights, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Hilltoppers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Catholic Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Gratton, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Macklin Wilson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Catholic Central and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Dominican, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will square off against Living Word Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dominican, they will challenge Milwaukee King at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
