Basketball Recap: Stratford Gets the Win

If Roff wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Stratford, they should've done a better job of containing Karsen Nail. The Stratford Bulldogs came out on top against the Roff Tigers by a score of 54-47 on Tuesday thanks in part to Nail, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (four).

Another player making a difference was Oliver Smithwick, who posted 17 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Stratford's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Roff, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Stratford will host Asher at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Asher will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Stratford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roff, they will venture away from home to face off against Wynnewood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wynnewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
