Softball Recap: Rancho Mirage Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rancho Mirage had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Culver City Centaurs. The win was familiar territory for the Rattlers, who have now won five games in a row.

Anelisa Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Garcia was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Mariah Botley was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Alea (Nissi) Marquez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rancho Mirage's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Culver City, they moved to 13-15 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Rancho Mirage nor the Centaurs have any future games scheduled.
