Softball Game Preview: Orestimba Warriors vs. Sonora Wildcats

For the second straight game, Orestimba will face off against Sonora. The Warriors will challenge the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Orestimba is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Orestimba took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Sonora get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Natalie Corella was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Sophia Machado was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Orestimba always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Orestimba is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
