Basketball Recap: Colman-Egan Piles Up the Points Against Luverne

Colman-Egan entered their tilt with Luverne on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed by the Luverne Cardinals to the tune of 71-39. The C-E Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kaylee Voelker was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 15 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points in addition to six boards and three steals. She also put up a block, which washer first of the season. Brynlee Landis was another key player, going 8 for 19 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds.

Colman-Egan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Luverne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Colman-Egan will head out to face off against Elkton/Lake Benton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Luverne, they will face off against Redwood Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
