Softball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Chaparral was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Desert Mountain Wolves, falling 12-2. The Firebirds haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Chaparral saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Zilveti, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Desert Mountain, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolves beat Chaparral by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday.
