Softball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Granger Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in March.

Bartlett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karis Stoglin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Marissa Brown also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bartlett's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Granger, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7-1.

Coincidentally, Bartlett and Granger will both be playing Thorndale the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
