Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Johnstown-Monroe). They blew past the Northridge Vikings 24-1 on Friday. Considering the Johnnies have won six matchups by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lucia Kuhn made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  Brooklyn Wood was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jenna Hochanadel, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Johnstown-Monroe  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only managed three  hits.
Johnstown-Monroe's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Northridge,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-14.
 Looking ahead, Johnstown-Monroe will head out to  take on Lakewood  at 8:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so the Johnnies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northridge, they will face off against Heath at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25  runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
