Softball Recap: Decatur Central Hawks vs. Greenwood Woodmen

Decatur Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Greenwood on Tuesday. The Hawks never let the Woodmen get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2024 (when they won 17-3).

Kenzie Cummings was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
