Softball Recap: East Paulding Raiders vs. Central Lions
East Paulding never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Central Lions 9-0. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to JJ Sweat's shutout, as she gave up just one hit and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrea Davis, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, she also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in September of 2023. Ansleigh Broome was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
The win made it two in a row for East Paulding and bumps their season record up to 23-6. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
As of now, neither East Paulding nor Central have any future games scheduled.
