Rockmart is 9-1 against Cedartown since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Rockmart Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Cedartown Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Rockmart and three for Cedartown.

Rockmart is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Sonoraville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Rockmart was dealt a 95-25 loss at the hands of Sonoraville. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-12.

Meanwhile, Cedartown came up short against Bremen on Friday, falling 63-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 188th).

Cedartown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Rockmart, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Rockmart didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cedartown when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockmart since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
