Basketball Recap: Jordan Tate and Jacari Brim Secure Win for West Forsyth

West Forsyth hadn't done well against Mount Tabor recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The West Forsyth Titans enjoyed a cozy 53-38 victory over the Mount Tabor Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Spartans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 71-51 loss.

Leading West Forsyth to victory were Jacari Brim and Jordan Tate. Brim posted 19 points and three steals, while Tate earned 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven boards gave Tate a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Princeton Scott, who scored six points and five rebounds.

West Forsyth's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Mount Tabor, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

West Forsyth has already played their next match, a 74-48 victory against Walkertown on the 18th. As for Mount Tabor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against R.J. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. Mount Tabor is facing R.J. Reynolds at the right time seeing as R.J. Reynolds is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
