Recap: Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Central Dauphin Rams
It was a good run, but the Carlisle Thundering Herd unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Central Dauphin by a score of 55-52. Carlisle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Dauphin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Wayne Fletcher II continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Dauphin, scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Fletcher II's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Jelani Easter was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Carlisle's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Central Dauphin, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northern York at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Northern York will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Carlisle is ranked 28th). As for Central Dauphin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chambersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
