Basketball Recap: Lee County Piles Up the Points Against Northside

There's no place like home for Lee County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They breezed past the Northside Eagles to the tune of 47-18 on Friday. The team ran away with 37 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Lee County was led to victory by Camya Hutcherson and Taliyah Porter. Hutcherson went 9-for-14 to rack up 23 points and four steals, while Porter almost dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Porter has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 21 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Ridley, who posted four points along with ten boards and three steals.

Lee County pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.
