Volleyball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Hillcrest Trojans

The Poly Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Hillcrest Trojans at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Poly didn't have quite enough to beat Liberty and fell 3-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Poly couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Liberty a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 22-25, 31-29, 27-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Hillcrest's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rancho Verde to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 25-16.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 26-2.

Poly came up short against Hillcrest in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
