Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. Whetstone Braves

The Bishop Watterson Eagles will square off against the Whetstone Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Bishop Watterson nor Whetstone posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Wednesday, Bishop Watterson came up short against Cardinal Mooney and fell 6-1. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Bishop Watterson got a good showing from David Bloomberg, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Bishop Watterson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Fivecoat, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
