Football Recap: Andrews Wildcats vs. Rosman Tigers
Andrews had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by the Rosman Tigers on the road to the tune of 42-14. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Eli Aguilar had a dynamite game for Andrews, rushing for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Everett Tatham, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Tatham wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Andrews was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 362 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrews will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Hayesville at 7:30 p.m. on September 6th. Andrews is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
