Volleyball Recap: Marion Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Marion had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Searcy Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marion took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

KENDALL BROWN paced Marion's offense, picking up 17 kills. BROWN were helped by TAYLOR CHAMNESS and CLAIRE BRINKLEY, who contributed 16 assists each. Finally, KENNEDY BULLINS kept Marion's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Searcy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion is set to take on their familiar foe Greene County Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Searcy will challenge rival Nettleton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
