Volleyball Recap: Oak Ridge Trojans vs. Buchanan Bears
Oak Ridge and Buchanan squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Oak Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Buchanan Bears by a score of 3-2.
Buchanan had a senior duo take command as Kayden Barnes had ten digs and 28 assists and Clara Garcia had 29 digs. Those 29 digs set a new season-high mark for Garcia. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Dedekian, who had seven digs and five aces.
Oak Ridge's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-15. As for Buchanan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 29-12.
Oak Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchanan, they will take on San Ramon Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ramon Valley is coming into the game with five straight wins at home, so Buchanan will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
