Softball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Lee-Scott Academy was the 12-10 winner over Pike Liberal Arts when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Brianna Totty was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Tate, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Lee-Scott Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11-1. As for Pike Liberal Arts, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee-Scott Academy will take on Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pike Liberal Arts, they will head out to take on Long at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
