Basketball Recap: Bosqueville Comes Up Short

Bosqueville lost against Meyer back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bosqueville Bulldogs received a blow as they fell 72-55 to the Meyer Ravens. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Ravens are ranked 275th).

Bosqueville is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-5. As for Meyer, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosqueville will square off against Rio Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bosqueville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Meyer, they will face off against Itasca at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Meyer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Itasca likes a good challenge.
