Soccer Recap: Wallington Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Wallington has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emerson Cavaliers on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wallington came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Emerson are ranked 151st).

Wallington's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1. As for Emerson, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Coming up, Wallington will take on Dwight-Englewood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Emerson has already played their next match (against Montville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
