Recap: Florida Christian Patriots vs. Edison Red Raiders
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Florida Christian Patriots had no problem doing just that on Monday. They claimed a resounding 67-38 win over the Red Raiders at home. Florida Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Florida Christian had a senior duo take command as Natalia Stocker scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and Zoe Campos scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stocker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Leah Perez, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Florida Christian's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Florida Christian will face off against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Florida Christian in Florida (Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart is ranked 116th, while Florida Christian is ranked 480th). Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
