Baseball Recap: Green Lake/Princeton Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Green Lake/Princeton's victory against Montello wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigersharks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hilltoppers 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Tigersharks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Deegan McCutcheon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Green Lake/Princeton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Bond, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Bond has posted since back in April of 2024.

Green Lake/Princeton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Montello, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Green Lake/Princeton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hilltoppers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
