Baseball Game Preview: Strayhorn Mustangs vs. Biggersville Lions

The Strayhorn Mustangs will take on the Biggersville Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Strayhorn and seven for Biggersville.

Last Thursday, Strayhorn didn't have quite enough to beat Olive Branch and fell 7-6.

John-Asher Perry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Strayhorn is 2-1 when Perry posts three or more RBI, but 0-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sanders Sowell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Biggersville scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 10-7 to Baldwyn.

Brooks Seago was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Case Hilliard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Strayhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Biggersville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
