The Horseheads Blue Raiders will take on the Corning-Painted Post Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Horseheads is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Horseheads is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Johnson City on Wednesday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. Give Horseheads' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Corning-Painted Post was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Elmira could gain the upper hand two weeks ago so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Corning-Painted Post's draw gives them a new season record of 0-1-1. As for Horseheads, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Horseheads took their victory against Corning-Painted Post in their previous matchup on September 10th by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
